  I had a horrible experience at this dentists office. I’m not normally one to post negative reviews unless I honestly feel it to be necessary. I have a terrible fear of the dentist, and my first couple appointments went very well, I will say that. However, we found that I had a baby tooth that never fell out and another tooth within my gum line that never descended. Dr. Antolak told me we had two options, I could either have it removed through the roof of my mouth, or they could place a temporary tooth in and remove my baby tooth, and eventually place a tooth that would be permanet, but would screw in, opposed to a bridge style tooth. Being afraid of dentists, I told him I would prefer to not have surgery to remove the tooth through the roof of my mouth if avoidable. Well, the procedure needed to be done in several steps. The first time around, we removed my baby tooth, and they placed a temporary bonded tooth they sculpted while the site where the tooth was pulled healed. This was fine until the bonded tooth came loose and fell out while I was at work. Mind you this is in the front of my mouth, so it was very embarrassing. I had to take the rest of the day off to go have it fixed. They “fixed it” and I was told it was bonded back on, well sure thing several days later it came out once again. Eventually it was time for the procedure to place the screw into my gums / jaw line. The procedure itself seemed to go smoothly until it was several days into the healing process. I felt something loose within my gum and it was causing me a great deal of pain. I went BACK into the office, this will have been the third time due to something going wrong, they did X-rays and it turns out that the screw they put into my jawline actually broke the bone into several different pieces, and they had to completely remove the screw they had just surgically placed into my mouth. So all of the previous hardships were for nothing. The doctor and his insurance lady swore to me up and down that there would be no charge for this because they admitted it never should have happened. I was now left with a big hole in my mouth, a missing tooth, and a great deal of pain. Finally, Dr. Antolak decided it would just be best to place a permanent bridge instead of attempting to place the screw again, since they literally had broken out of a chunk of my jaw. His insurance gal told me that it would be covered by insurance, at most there would be a $100 - $200 copay PLUS they would “credit my account” for the procedure I had already paid $1,200 out of pocket for. Well they did the procedure, placed the bridge and then about a month later I get a bill for over $500. I called the office to ask why I was being charged when they specifically told me that I would not have to pay especially with receiving the credit to my account, and they told me “well what did you want us to tell you, we didn’t know how much exactly it would be until we ran the insurance” well the truth would have been nice. If you don’t know how much it would have been, then tell me that. Don’t lie and tell me a price when you don’t know. It was extremely unprofessional and I don’t ever recommend this dentist, ever. I ended up paying nearly $2,000 out of pocket AFTER insurance for a procedure that I shouldn’t have ever had to have in the first place. They tried to blame it on me because I didn’t elect to have the surgery in the first place, well I was offered several different ways to go about fixing the issue, and as a trusted medical professional, I thought it was fair to assume that they wouldn’t be giving me options that they weren’t sure would work procedural wise. Then after all of that, they had the nerve to call me to schedule my next cleaning... absolutely ridiculous.

  If you want a totally capable dentist who is honest, friendly, a leader in his field and totally technically capable, along with being a premier provider, without question Dr. Antolak is the best of the best. The only mistake you can possibly make is to NOT, repeat is to NOT select him as your doctor. Dr. A (as he has affectionally became known) made me feel whole again. The smile he gave me is without a doubt a serious game changer. I am now NOT covering my mouth when I laugh, in fact, I find myself SMILING much much more. What a great life changing event, a new improved healthy beautiful SMILE. Thank You Dr. A!
